The Story Behind StoryBoards
In 2011, when I was a young mother, my sister sent my then two-year-old daughter a set of dollhouse furniture and figurines for Christmas. I hadn’t grown up with a dollhouse, and was instantly smitten. Soon after, I made my daughter a budget-friendly dollhouse out of cardboard. As I was drawing the background for the walls and floors, the idea for StoryBoards was born.
When my daughter turned three, I created the first prototype. It was kind of a mess, but I continued to work on it. Over the years, as my family continued to grow, so did my idea! It took several years to get the idea just right, but now we are ready and excited to launch our StoryBoards Paper Collection!
What are StoryBoards?
StoryBoards are foldable, portable dollhouses for your children. Set them on the floor or table, bring them outside or on an airplane trip, and watch your children’s imaginations come to life. Children will delight in setting up their own story worlds and bringing their toys to life.
Each time you pick up a toy and begin playing with it, you are creating a Story World. StoryBoards are scenes that make your children’s Story Worlds come to life! You get to use your own furniture and dolls to complete the scene!
